Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
http://www.cmc.gov.my is a regulator for the converging communications and multimedia industry. When it was created, its key role was to to regulate the communications and multimedia industry based on the powers provided for in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act (1998) and the Communications and Multimedia Act (1998). Pursuant to these Acts the role of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is to implement and promote the Government's national policy objectives for the communications and multimedia sector. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is also charged with overseeing the new regulatory framework for the converging industries of telecommunications, broadcasting and on-line activities.

Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications Malaysia
http://www.ktak.gov.my is a government body that was set up to develop Malaysia's communications and multimedia industry based on the concept of convergence of the telecommunications, broadcasting and computing services. Its main thrust is to facilitate and regulate the growth of industries in these sectors to ensure the availability of high quality, efficient and safe services at a reasonable price to consumers throughout the country.

Ministry of Information Malaysia
was set up with the objective to ensure that effective dissemination of government's messages through the electronic media, face-to-face communications and filmmaking activities, in line with the government's philosophy, policy and programmes to enhance public understanding and involvement with government's activities.

Multimedia Development Corporation
http://www.mdc.com.my was established by the Malaysian Government as the agency to spearhead the development and implementation of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), and to facilitate applications to re-locate to, within, the MSC by multinational and local companies.

International Telecommunication Union
http://www.itu.int was founded on the principle of cooperation between governments and the private sector, with memberships encompassing telecommunications policy-makers and regulators, network operators, equipment manufacturers, hardware and software developers, regional standards-making organisations and financing institutions.

Asia-Pacific Telecommunity
http://www.aptsec.org is a Regional Telecommunication Organisation by an Inter-governmental agreement where Malaysia is a member.

The Film Censorship Board
http://www.kdn.gov.my/bm/perkhidmatan/bah_c_lembagafilem.html is a body under by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia.
